You may, or may not have noticed, that this site hasn't had any new images added since mid-March. Not sure why this happened, but I am happy to announce that this site is back up and running, and you will be seeing more posts.

Vitalogy Revealed. Okay, most of you may recognize this as the artwork for the Pearl Jam Vitalogy album—one catch, this isn't the cover to the CD, yet the cover to an actual book about vitalogy. The book was in pretty dire straights, so I only snapped a few pics and thumbed through it a little. It was interesting to learn that all of the artwork in the Pearl Jam Vitalogy album was "lifted" from this book.

The Silent Water Snake. I took this shot the other day and have only told a few people exactly what it is. I am wondering if anyone can guess what it is? What's your guess?

A Leg Up. I took this in the Heritage Makers warehouse early one morning when things were still relatively quiet. Love the brushed metal.

Paint on the Grate. Took this shot the other day. This was probably done by someone who never stayed in the lines when coloring as a kid—not that there's anything wrong with that.

Bling Bling Check Out the Ring. Check out the size of that rock. Everything looks better in black and white, for sure.

Modern Long Neck Dinosaur. With all the construction going on at the east side of the Novell campus, there are lots of opportunities for random shots like this one.

Absolute Contrast 217

Parking Lot Crop Circles. I came across this the other day and thought it was interesting. It actually could be a number of things, but at the time it reminded me of crop circles.

Flowers in the Rain. I took this picture this morning on my way in to work. These flowers were enjoying the light spring rain that I am sure will eventually open up to a downpour sometime this morning.

Slow Life, Train Style (series) This is my three-year old giving me the "don't mess with me stink-eye glare" while riding on the train. She was fascinated that people actually used to ride in something like this.

Absolute Contrast 214

Slow Life, Train Style (series) Another fabulous texture here—I love the chipped paint on the handle and the wooded door behind. Classic traits of hard work.

Absolute Contrast 213

Slower Life, Train Style (series) I am a huge fan of textures, so you can just imagine how giddy I was when I saw the old train cars. Here's a close up of a cool texture.

Slower Life, Train Style (series) The smallest things in life can tell the best stories. This is one of the latches on the windows of the train. Makes me wonder what things it's seen.

Absolute Contrast 211

Slower Life, Train Style (series) Here's a great shot of the train car we rode in. Would have been a real experience to travel cross-country back in the day in something like this.

Slower Life, Train Style (series) I took my family to see The Heber Creeper last night. It was the first time my wife and kids had been on a real, full sized train (zoo and Disneyland trains don't count). I was able to get some really great shots of the old train cars, inside and out. Hope you enjoy them.

The Measure of a Man. This is a cool looking photo, in my opinion. It makes me look super tall, even though I am only 6'1".

Absolute Contrast 208

Just a Couple of Old Stumps. This has to be one of my favorite pics so far. Right near the edge of the canal that runs along side the path I walk everyday are these two stumps, old and weather beaten, but still together. Kind of like a successful marriage.

Absolute Contrast 207

The Business End. This is the business end of the Ditch Witch (previous photo). Definitely wouldn't want to tangle with this in a dark alley late at night.

The Name Says It All. Hey, if I were a witch, I'd be looking to collect royalties (or children) for use of the witch title.

Talk About Being a Third Wheel—Literally. The sun is out, the smell of spring and fresh cut grass is in the air. I wonder how long this will last? I'm beginning to feel like this nice of weather is the third wheel until we have a few weeks of solid rain.

After the Winds of Change. Ah, nothing like the winds of change to turn the tides on your neighbor.

Absolute Contrast 203

Before the Winds of Change. I really like the way this one turned out. The seeds almost appear heavenly—but anyone who knows anything about dandelions knows they are anything but heavenly.

Take That Soda! I have been soda free since January 1 of this year. It's nice to have kicked the crutch, but even nicer when I see something like this.

Greater Than? Less Than? This is another shot from the vast wilderness of a parking lot I cross most days to and from work. Glad it's not snow or ice covered.

Hold Me. This is a shot of my friends iPhone charger in his truck. I need to get a charger for my phone.

Portrait. I saw this coming back from lunch in downtown Provo. Kind of cool, although I think it would have been better if it were in a square and a tiny bit smaller.

Salt and Pepper Elegance. I staged this shot a little. Love the reflective light that plays off the tops of the shakers.

Bird Poop Art. No joke, seriously. I left work the other day and started walking on the sidewalk when I passed this. As I passed, I glanced down and thought, "Hey, that looks like a face...". Then I stopped and went back and took the picture—this was too good not to share.

What's the Difference Between Flavored Water and Kool-Aid? With all the alternatives out there to soda, the choices are almost endless. Here's a shot of one of the alternatives I have found to be quite tasty.
